One of the biggest food truck events in Texarkana, the ArkLaTex Food Truck Festival, will take place this Saturday at Bobby Ferguson Park. The event, founded by Tameka Grady in memory of her sister, Romeka Block, who passed away from breast cancer, aims to raise awareness about the disease.
The festival will feature over 25 food trucks, live music, hot air balloon rides, and arts and crafts vendors, drawing an estimated 6,000 attendees. The Tough Kookie Foundation will also provide information on breast cancer prevention and early detection.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will conclude with a hot air balloon glow show in honor of those affected by breast cancer.
