Vehicles left on the street will impact operations and cause delays in the snow removal process. Any vehicles remaining in these designated areas after 8 p.m. Jan. 19 will be towed to the Whittier Street parking lot in the Centennial Hall/Zach Gordon Youth Center complex. Please plan accordingly.
Snow-blowing operations will start after cars are removed and the street is accessible for equipment.
The Department of Transportation & Public Facilities has also released a PSA about Douglas Highway snow removal operations. Snow removal operations will occur south of the bridge beginning Friday, Jan. 19 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. through Jan. 22.
DOT&PF asks you to refrain from parking along Douglas Hwy during the specified hours (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and if you need to drive in the area, exercise caution and be mindful of the snow removal crew at work.
The crew will clear berms and sidewalks along the water side of Douglas Hwy, starting from Cordova Street and progressing southward.
