KETCHIKAN — The region’s anti-drug task force made a big bust in Alaska’s First City this week.

On Monday, April 14, investigators with the Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs task force concluded a drug investigation in Ketchikan, which resulted in two arrests and the seizure of 329.5 grams of methamphetamine and 27.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at approximately $49,425.

According to a press release, SEACAD identified 60-year-old Ralph Warren Bolton, Jr. as a person distributing narcotics in Ketchikan. Investigators obtained search warrants for Bolton, his vehicle, and his residence. On Monday, investigators stopped a red Jeep in the 2900 block of Tongass Avenue that was occupied by Bolton. During a search of Bolton and his vehicle, investigators located narcotics that tested positive for methamphetamine.

The task force subsequently executed a search warrant at Bolton’s residence in the 100 block of Forest Park Drive. At the residence, investigators contacted Bolton’s roommate, 40-year-old Ketchikan resident Jennifer Leann Treat. During the search of the residence, investigators seized additional narcotics that tested positive for methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms.

Bolton and Treat were arrested and taken to jail. Bolton was held on three counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony. Treat was held on one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony, and two counts of Misconduct in the 5th degree, a class A Misdemeanor.
