Hempstead County, AR – Authorities seized approximately 12 pounds of methamphetamine valued at $40,000 and arrested two men following a drug raid in Hope on Wednesday, March 5.
The 8th North Drug Task Force, with support from the 8th South Drug Task Force, 9th West Drug Task Force, and the FBI, executed a search warrant at a residence as part of an investigation into meth distribution in Hempstead County.
Prince Thomas, 44, of Hope, was arrested on meth trafficking charges, and David Bentley, 60, of Nashville, Arkansas, was charged with conspiracy to commit trafficking. Both suspects are being held at the Hempstead County Detention Center.
“The success of this operation is a direct result of collaboration between local, state, and federal agencies,” said Gary Dorman, Director of the 8th North Drug Task Force.
The investigation involved officers from the Hempstead and Nevada County Sheriff’s Offices, Hope and Prescott Police Departments, and federal agents.
