Early yesterday morning, Texarkana police arrested 25-year-old Maleek Collier after a citizen reported him pulling on car door handles at a hotel on Cowhorn Creek Road. Lt. Jeremy Courtney found Collier hiding under a truck, but he ran. Officers quickly caught up with him, and near the scene, they recovered a stolen iPad belonging to a hotel guest. Collier now faces charges including vehicle burglary, assault on a peace officer, evading arrest, and marijuana possession. He’s booked into the Bi-State Jail.
