Washington (KINY) – U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski, a senior member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, called out the Biden administration’s decision to stop American Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) export approvals which she said threatens American energy dominance, jeopardizes national security and prospects of global stability.
During a Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing, Senator Murkowski questioned Department of Energy Deputy Secretary David Turk on the administration’s LNG policy.
Following the Energy Committee hearing, Senator Murkowski joined her colleagues for a press conference calling out the Biden administration for its decision to stop approving new LNG exports.
“We have a president who is seeking to get well with the environmental community because he did the right thing, less than a year ago, when he followed the law and he approved Willow,” Murkowski said. “And then the environmental community came unglued.”
