Red River Army Depot has completed two major renovation projects aimed at improving efficiency and capabilities.
One key upgrade involved raising the roof of the wheeled vehicle repair facility by 10 feet to accommodate the military’s larger vehicle fleet. The building also received enhanced safety equipment, including fall protection for workers.
Depot leaders say the modernization, which began five years ago, is a major milestone. Commander Denis Fajardo noted the facility can now handle larger and more vehicles at once, increasing production flexibility.
The project cost $42 million. Red River Army Depot has been maintaining military vehicles since 1941.
