Rep. Nick Begich to address joint legislative session this week

Alaska Congressman Nick Begich is scheduled to deliver an address to a joint session of the Alaska Legislature on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m.

The address will be his first to the Alaska Legislature since being elected to Congress last November.

Begich defeated incumbent Democrat Mary Peltola by nearly 7,000 votes in the 2024 general election.

Begich is the grandson of the late Rep. Nick Begich, Sr., who disappeared in a plane crash in 1972 while en route from Anchorage to Juneau.
