Traffic signal improvements are coming to University Avenue and Interstate 30, with work set to begin in April. The Texas Department of Transportation awarded the project in February to WG Engineering & Construction, which submitted a low bid of $414,401.
Upgrades include reflective backplates on signals along the frontage roads for better visibility. A new traffic signal with pedestrian safety enhancements will also be installed at University Avenue and West Park Boulevard.
The project is expected to take about six months to complete, depending on the weather.
