The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is teaming up with Law Publications to provide educational materials on health and safety threats. The custom books and magazines cover topics for teens, parents, and seniors, including cyber scams, identity theft, drug dangers, and more.
TAPD’s Kristen Schultz says the materials will be handed out at outreach events and through local organizations to help those without easy access to online resources. The program is funded by community sponsors featured in the books.
Retired officer Steve Wallace is helping recruit sponsors and says more support is needed. Anyone interested can contact Schultz at (903) 798-3560.
