The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is searching for Michael Wayne Thomas, 55, who is wanted on drug trafficking charges.
Authorities say Thomas was initially arrested on March 18 after a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigation linked him to methamphetamine sales. He was stopped by a state trooper but had no drugs on him. However, a key to his Regency Motel room in Texarkana, Arkansas, was found.
Police later searched the motel room after spotting Ashley Jones leaving with drug-related items. Investigators discovered over two-thirds of a pound of meth, more than 1.5 ounces of ecstasy, and an ounce of marijuana inside. Jones was arrested on multiple drug charges, and warrants were issued for Thomas.
Thomas was released on bail before the new charges were filed, and police are now seeking information on his whereabouts.
