
Alaska State Troopers are investigating a case in Thorne Bay involving dogs discovered in crab pots.
According to an AST dispatch, while conducting routine shellfish pot inspections near Thorne Bay, Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Ketchikan located two crab pots near Thorne Bay harbor. Each crab pot contained the remains of a domesticated dog.
The two French bulldogs discovered in the pots had gone missing on Feb. 13 in Thorne Bay and their owners had been actively searching for them.
